Updated COVID-19 Safety Regulations & Protocols

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are following the state's Safety Regulations and Protocols

 BUSINESS REOPENING

Practice

  • With the reopening, masks are no longer mandated during practice.  Xuan Ju training hall is spacious and proper distancing can still be maintained during practice.
Accommodation
  • If possible, we will strive to place student to a single room accommodation. However, with the reopening and number of retreaters, there is a possibility that students may be placed in a shared room with the same sex.

  • Clean and fresh bed sheets/linens/towels will be provided. Participants are responsible for making their own beds and stripping them after their stay.  This is to minimize handling of objects.   You are also welcome to bring your own sheets/linens/towels if you prefer.

  •  For extended stay at Xuan Ju, a washer and dryer is available and individuals are responsible for cleaning and laundering of personal items, linens and towels.

Bathroom Use

  • Washing hands is a mandatory practice for all.  Bathroom use should involve cleaning in between use. Disinfecting toilet seats before and after is mandatory. Disinfectant wipes or sprays, paper towels, toilet paper will be made readily available in all of the bathrooms.

  • Bathroom towels are available; but requested for you to bring your own toiletries such as shampoo and conditioners, body soap, toothpaste, etc.

Kitchen Use

  •  We welcome bringing your own food. You can store it in a cooler or in the refrigerator.  You can heat up or prepare food in the kitchen provided that you clean before and after each use.

  • Communal dining is a tradition in Xuan Ju and strict maintenance of cleanliness and proper food preparation are mandatory.

  • Cleaning and washing after each use of the kitchen at all times are recommended. This is to warrant cleanliness and to keep out unwanted guests.
